About

Esther Du is a visual storytelling artist from Nanjing, China, currently based in Providence. Pursuing her MFA in Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design, she holds a BFA in General Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art.

Esther’s work spans graphic novels, writing, and interdisciplinary installations that experiment with narrative forms. Her ongoing dystopian series, including The Outcast and The Researcher, uses water as a metaphor for human greed and explores themes of nihilism, nostalgia, and existential uncertainty. Through multimedia storytelling, Esther investigates the tension between survival and the human search for meaning in a shifting, unstable world.
